About 2O3
2O3 is a performance hydration brand founded by record-holding powerlifter Johnny Kaufman and entrepreneur Nelson Cury. It makes ready-to-drink electrolyte beverages built around raw honey.
The pitch is simple. Most electrolyte products in the gym bag are zero-sugar powders or sports drinks loaded with processed sugar. 2O3 goes after the gap between them, using honey as the carbohydrate source. The brand says honey's mix of glucose and fructose helps the body take in sodium and water faster, and it markets the drink as hydration with natural energy built in. Its own comparison charts put it up against LMNT, Pedialyte, Liquid IV, Gatorade, Body Armor, and Prime.
The First Product
The debut is 2O3 Electrolytes + Honey Hydration, a 16 fl oz non-carbonated RTD that launched in September 2026 in Hydro-Lime and Orange Mango. The headline number is 1,000mg of sodium per can, which is a serious dose for a ready-to-drink. It's backed by 340mg of potassium and 60mg of magnesium, so all three major electrolytes are covered.
These numbers are from the Hydro-Lime can, and the other flavor may vary slightly. That label is short and readable: raw honey, organic lime juice concentrate, sea salt, potassium gluconate, organic natural flavor, magnesium glycinate, citric acid, Reb M, and zinc oxide. It also delivers 4mg of zinc (35% DV). Each can carries 17g of added sugars, mostly from the honey, so this is not a zero-sugar play. The brand says it uses no processed sugar and no artificial flavors or colors, with real fruit and organic flavors in the mix.
Who It's For
Kaufman's founder story gives the brand its athlete-first voice, and the "built by athletes, backed by science" tagline leans into it. The target is lifters, endurance athletes, and heavy sweaters who want a sodium-forward drink with real carbs instead of a powder stick and a separate energy source.
For anyone who wants electrolytes without sugar, this isn't the lane. For training days where fuel and sodium both matter, 2O3 is a high-sodium honey-based option with a clean label.
