About BODi
BODi is the company formerly known as Beachbody, the in-home fitness and nutrition business behind P90X, Shakeology, and a streaming platform with 225+ workout programs. Founded in 1998 by Carl Daikeler and Jon Congdon, it rebranded as BODi in 2023 and now sells both digital fitness and a supplement portfolio.
From Workout Library to Can
BODi's roots are in fitness, not beverages. The company built its audience with workout programs, then followed with nutrition plans and products. Shakeology is the flagship, a superfood shake pitched around protein, antioxidants, probiotics, and vitamins. The Beachbody Performance line covers the training cycle with Energize (pre-workout), Recover (post-workout), and Hydrate (an electrolyte formula). The brand says the Performance products carry Informed Sport certification and that its supplements go through third-party testing, a credibility signal that matters in a category where label trust is a real purchase driver.
P90X Energy Drink is BODi's first ready-to-drink beverage, a 12oz can that launched in October 2026. It puts a legacy fitness name on shelf in the same space as Celsius and other fitness-coded energy drinks.
Positioning
BODi's advantage is built-in familiarity. P90X is one of the best-known names in home fitness, and the brand already has a customer base that buys supplements to go with its training programs. Most beverage startups spend years trying to build that kind of audience. BODi is converting one it already has.
The target consumer is the workout-minded adult who already knows the brand, whether from DVDs, the app, or a Shakeology habit. The pitch is energy that fits a training routine, with the Performance line's testing and certification story behind it.
BODi is for fitness-first drinkers who care more about where their energy comes from than about the latest flavor trend. It's a legacy fitness brand taking its first real swing at the can, and it already has a reputation in the gym to work from.
