Red Bull Spring Edition Cherry Sakura: First US Spring Drop
Red Bull's first-ever US Spring Edition brings Cherry Sakura nationwide. Here's what's inside the limited-time release.
Red Bull just dropped its first-ever US Spring Edition, and the flavor has been waiting a decade for this moment: Red Bull Spring Edition Cherry Sakura debuted in Japan in 2016 before finally landing on American shelves in February 2026. The white-and-red can design is a deliberate call -- clean visual separation from the hot pink Japan used and from last year's Wild Berries Pink Edition.
The Flavor
Cherry leads, sakura adds a floral finish, and almond rounds it out. Early tasters describe the cherry as tart and semi-sweet, the blossom note as approachable rather than perfume-heavy, and the almond as subtle enough that some are picking it up as banana. It's a distinctly Japanese flavor profile making its US mainstream debut.
What is Sakura?
Sakura is Japanese for cherry blossom, the fleeting pink flowers famous for hanami season. Here it brings a light floral note: subtle, mildly sweet, with a faint perfumy "lift" that plays off the tart cherry instead of tasting like the fruit itself.

What's Inside
The Red Bull Spring Edition Cherry Sakura Energy Drink Ingredients (shown on Amazon).
The formula is unchanged from standard Red Bull: 80mg caffeine, taurine, and a B-vitamin stack. Purely a flavor play.
One note worth flagging: At the time of launch, Amazon's listing incorrectly includes Inositol and Magnesium Carbonate in the ingredient list. Neither appears on the actual can. The can label is the authoritative source, and it's a 13-ingredient formula.
Where to Get It
Cherry Sakura is available nationwide now, while supplies last, in 8.4 fl oz and 12 fl oz cans. A sugarfree variant is in the mix too.
Dollar General, Instacart, and most major retailers nationwide
If you've been cycling through Red Bull's seasonal editions, Cherry Sakura is the most interesting one in years -- grab it before the limited run dries up. Sugarfree is the move if 26g of added sugar per can is a sticking point.
