C4 Performance Energy Gets a New Flavor: Mango Fuego
C4 Performance Energy adds Mango Fuego -- a sweet mango and habanero heat combo that's the brand's first spice-inspired flavor.
C4 Performance Energy just added Mango Fuego to its permanent lineup, and the angle is worth calling out: this is the brand's first spice-inspired flavor. Mango plus habanero heat is a swing most energy drink brands won't take. We covered C4's Smart Energy rebrand earlier thi week, but Mango Fuego lands on the Performance side, which is the original sports-oriented line.
The Flavor
Cellucor describes it as "an unexpected blend of sweet mango and a hint of habanero heat." The tagline is "Fuel Your Fuego," and the brand's Instagram called it "sweet meets heat in a can." Both land. Spicy profiles are nearly nonexistent in the energy drink category, so the differentiation is real just from concept alone. Whether the habanero reads as a pleasant finish or comes across as a gimmick is something sampling will settle -- and C4 is running a Mango Fuego truck tour kicking off in Austin, handing out cans directly. Old-school move, smart for a flavor this polarizing on paper.
What's Inside
This is a flavor drop, not a reformulation. The Performance Energy formula is unchanged. But the stack is worth a quick look for anyone new to the line -- it's what separates C4 Performance from a standard zero-sugar energy drink.

Fuel Your Fuego - The C4 Energy Mango Fuego Ingredients
- Caffeine Anhydrous (200mg) - enough to feel it without being aggressive. On par with most serious Ennies in the category.
- CarnoSyn® Beta-Alanine (dose not disclosed) - supports muscle endurance during training. If you're sensitive to beta-alanine, expect tingles.
- BetaPower® Betaine Anhydrous (dose not disclosed) - supports power output and cellular hydration during workouts.
- Vitamin B12 (6mcg / 250% DV) - energy metabolism support at a meaningful dose.
Zero sugar, 5 calories, NSF Certified for Sport. The patented CarnoSyn and BetaPower inclusions are a genuine step up from a typical energy drink label. One frustration: individual doses for the beta-alanine and betaine aren't broken out on the Nutrition Facts panel, which is a common limitation when brands use beverage labeling instead of a full Supplement Facts format.
The Doss Angle
We're excited that Nutrabolt CEO Doss Cunningham has been coming out of his shell on LinkedIn, posting this:[1]
Introducing Mango Fuego. An unexpected blend of sweet mango and a hint of habanero heat, delivering a bold taste unlike anything we’ve launched before. C4’s first spice-inspired flavor, Mango Fuego reflects our commitment to pushing boundaries while staying true to performance and taste.
Our brand marketing team has an ambitious rollout planned, including taking the Mango Fuego truck on the road to sample thousands of cans. We’re kicking things off in our hometown of Austin, with many more stops to come. Follow @C4Energy on Instagram to see where we show up next.

Where to Get It and Wrapping Up with Some Fire
Mango Fuego is already available online. You can check prices at PricePlow, but we're unsure what stores it'll be at.
C4's ramping it up and spittin' some fire lately. If you lover the clean performance of C4 Energy but want something that actually tastes different from the sea of tropical blends (and even fruity cereal like their award-winning "Cereal Killer" flavor), Mango Fuego is worth a shot. The performance formula backs up the branding... the heat angle just makes it a more interesting Enny to crack open.
