Oath Sparkling Energy + Protein Adds Watermelon Rush at Target
Oath Nutrition adds Watermelon Rush to its Sparkling Energy + Protein line, with the same 10g whey isolate and 100mg caffeine formula.
Oath Nutrition Sparkling Energy + Protein has a new flavor, Watermelon Rush. It's listed as new at Target in 4-packs of 12 fl oz sparkling cans. The drink still pairs clear whey with green tea caffeine, and this one pours light pink and clear. It looks more like a sparkling fruit drink than anything you'd expect to have protein in it.
If you haven't tried the line yet, it's a protein energy drink you can have any time of day. Each can has 10g of whey protein isolate and 100mg of caffeine for 45 calories. Our full Oath Nutrition Energy + Protein Drink breakdown covers the formula in depth. This piece sticks to the new flavor and checks whether anything changed in the can.
Watermelon Rush: A Pink Pour

The name tells you the direction: watermelon, the default summer fruit for sparkling drinks. We haven't cracked one yet, so we'll skip the tasting notes for now.
What we can tell you is how it looks. Clear whey drinks don't look like shakes, and Watermelon Rush leans into that. The light pink color comes from vegetable juice and beta carotene, which the ingredient list names for color. Two other points from the can matter if you're comparing protein drinks on the shelf: it contains milk, and it says it's third-party tested.
Pack size is the same as the rest of the line, four 12 fl oz cans per pack. That size works for a test run before you commit to a flavor.
Quick Formula Check

Watermelon Rush appears to use the same core formula as the parent product. The only visible difference is the coloring. These numbers are from the Watermelon Rush can, and the other flavors vary slightly. It lists 45 calories, 1g total carbohydrate, 0g total sugars, 0g added sugars, and 10g protein.
- Whey protein isolate (10g) - The protein source, and the reason the drink stays clear instead of creamy. Ten grams won't replace a full post-workout serving, but it's a useful bump from a can that would otherwise just be an energy drink.
- Caffeine from green tea extract (100mg) - Green tea extract supplies the caffeine. That's a moderate dose, enough to wake you up without the punch of 200mg-plus cans.
- Sweeteners - Sucralose and Reb M (from stevia) handle the sweetness, so there's no added sugar.
- Other ingredients - Carbonated water, natural flavors, citric acid, malic acid, sodium citrate, vegetable juice and beta carotene (for color), and mushroom extract (listed to protect quality). The acids give it tartness, the sodium citrate helps balance it, and the mushroom extract works as a natural preservative.
There's no vitamin blend, no nootropic stack, and no blend that hides its doses. It's a short ingredient list built around two numbers: 10g protein and 100mg caffeine. Where Watermelon Fits in the Lineup

Juicy Peach and Wild Berry already cover peach and berry. Watermelon Rush adds a lighter, more summery fruit, plus the line's pink can. Check the live list below for every flavor currently available.
- Watermelon Rush (4 Cans: $11.49)
- Juicy Peach (12 Cans: $31.02)
- Summer Citrus (4 Cans: $11.49)
- Wild Berry (12 Cans: $31.02)
Who Should Grab Watermelon Rush
This can makes the most sense if 200mg energy drinks are too much for you but you still want a lift, plus some protein, at 2pm. If you track protein, 10g at 45 calories is a good trade for an afternoon drink. If you're already buying Oath, Watermelon Rush gives you another flavor without changing the formula you signed up for.
The formula is the same as the line's other flavors, so this flavor will come down to taste and how much you like a pink can. Use the PricePlow links on this page for current pricing and availability.
